Big River Telephone to Host Telecommunications
Seminar
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, January 25, 2005-Big
River Telephone would like to announce the first of a series of communication
seminars for the eastern Missouri/western Kentucky area. The title of this
seminar will be, “VoIP and Emerging IP Technology.” The seminar, which will run
from 1:00-4:00 pm on Thursday, February 3 at the Cape Girardeau Career and
Technology Center, will focus on the newest technological advances that affect
today’s businesses through telecommunications.
“The purpose of this seminar is to inform area
businesses of some of the technological advancements that are available using
Voice over Internet Protocol, but also for us as a company to learn what other
needs businesses may have in terms of telecommunications,” stated Kevin
Cantwell, President of Big River Telephone. “We can then use this information in
turn to provide customized solutions for businesses in our region.”
The lineup of speakers will include Vince
Maniola of Zhone Technologies, as well as Bob Harvey of Metaswitch, which is
based in London, England. Kevin Cantwell-President, Tim Fagin, Vice President of
Business Development, Kevin Keaveny-Vice President of Engineering and Operations
and Chris Simmons-IT/General Manager are also among the key speakers on the
agenda.
