Big River Telephone Gives Back this Holiday Season

Cape Girardeau, Missouri (November 8, 2006) – Big River Telephone in conjunction with The Salvation Army, Schnucks, Mix 96.5, B 97.9, and Soft Rock 104.7 has once again started their annual Holiday Turkey Drive.

The Holiday Turkey Drive is designed to help families in need during the holidays.  Each Big River Telephone customer receives a voucher that they can bring to Schnucks along with a $10 donation.  For every $10 donation, Schnucks will provide a turkey and Big River Telephone will match every donation made.  These donations will help to provide a holiday turkey for families registered with The Salvation Army.  We encourage everyone to make someone else’s holiday a little brighter.

“This has turned into an annual event that our employees have embraced,” stated Kevin Cantwell, President of Big River Telephone. “Our goal is to make Thanksgiving a special time for as many families as possible.  It is about giving and caring.”

Mix 96.5 will be doing a live broadcast at Schnucks on November 18th, 2006 from 10am-12pm.  Vouchers will be handed out at the event by Big River Telephone to anyone who would like to participate.  Vouchers are also located at the customer service at Schnucks and at Big River Telephone, 24 S. Minnesota, Cape Girardeau, Mo until December 20th, 2006.
